What are Glass Grits?

They are produced by crushing glass scraps carefully selected according to their chemical elements. With further processing, either cold processing for the angular product (screening and particle size classification) or hot processing for the spheric product (heating, rounding, shape selection, screening and final classification), you get a type of grit meant especially for light cleaning or satin finish jobs of small pieces where the aesthetic effect can be predominant compared to the industrial one. Normally the corundum grit is launched using nozzle free-jet sandblasting machines (either with compressed air for dry processing or with pressurised water for humid processing).
